How much does it cost to incorporate a mainland company in Dubai?

The cost of setting up a Mainland company depends on several aspects. These include the number of VISAs, the type of licenses and ultimately the size of the obligatory office. 

The company formation process generally takes 1 to 2 weeks. Afterwards (optional), you will enter the country to complete the medical test and biometrics for the Emirates ID. This in turn takes one week. Additionally, there is account opening, which takes a few business days on-site. 

Yes, you can sponsor your spouse's visa or apply for their visa, or you can hire family members in the company. 

No, you do not have to live in Dubai to run a company here. However, you should enter the country 1 to 2 times a year to maintain your VISA. 

What is the difference between Freezone and Mainland?

The key difference is that Freezone companies can only operate in Freezone and worldwide without restriction. No services may be provided locally in the Mainland. Anyone selling goods or services locally requires a mainland company. 

An Emirates ID is mandatory for opening local accounts. It may also be required in the event of emigration.
