Specifically, it's the influencer license or advertiser permit that needs to be obtained before one can work as an influencer in Dubai.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-758f0e6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"758f0e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>What is the influencer license in Dubai?<\/h2><p>The Influencer License, or Advertiser Permit, as it is more accurately called, is an official authorization that influencers and content creators must obtain from the New Media Authority to share content with an advertising background on the internet (YouTube, Instagram). Specifically affected are, among others:<\/p><ul><li>YouTuber<\/li><li>Streamer<\/li><li>Blogger<\/li><li>Instagram Influencer<\/li><li>TikTok Influencer<\/li><\/ul><h3>Who is not affected?<\/h3><p>Excluded are companies that engage in content marketing but do not receive payment from third parties for it. This means companies that advertise exclusively for themselves and their own products, and are therefore not paid by third parties, are excluded.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-010a93a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"010a93a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2><strong>License Application<\/strong><\/h2><p>To apply for a license, one must first establish a company or initiate the incorporation process. In most cases, this company is a <a href=\"https:\/\/dubaisetup.co\/en\/blog\/company-setup-dubai-freezone\/\"><strong>Freezone company<\/strong><\/a> (since it is significantly faster and cheaper to establish). When founding the company, the appropriate social media activities must be selected. The offering varies depending on the free zone. Therefore, it is important to choose the right free zone or to seek advice in this regard. Examples of suitable free zones include:<\/p><ul><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dubaisetup.co\/en\/blog\/ifza-company-setup-dubai\/\">IFZA<\/a><\/strong><\/li><li>Meydan<\/li><li>Dubai Media City<\/li><\/ul><p>When applying to the NMA (which stands for X), it is done at the newly founded company. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nma.gov.ae\/en\/initiatives\/advertiser-permit-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NATIONAL MEDIA AUTHORITY<\/strong><\/a> an influencer license. All previous documents and information on the social media accounts must be submitted.\u00a0<\/p><p>When applying, one must choose between three different types of social media licenses:<\/p><ul><li>Single Creator<\/li><li>Group Creator<\/li><li>Agency<\/li><\/ul><p>Depending on which category you fall into, you must select the correct type when applying. This must be renewed annually in addition to the company. Nevertheless, here is an overview of the most important points.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Respect for society and the law\u00a0<\/strong>In the UAE, certain laws and social orders as well as religious views prevail. These should be respected at all times. Negative, exaggerated or false portrayals of certain circumstances in the UAE are punishable by law. As a political influencer, you should therefore avoid the UAE if you want to criticize the country itself.<\/p><p><strong>Truth\u00a0<\/strong>The content should always be truthful and factual, unless it is satirically labeled or for entertainment purposes. Sharing misinformation has legal consequences.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>No prohibited products or activities <\/strong>Prohibited products such as marijuana or other drugs may not be shown or advertised. Anyone who works without a company and license can expect a fine of AED 3,000 - 5,000 for the first offense.
